Heat Saver Distributors (HSD) was founded in 1985 as a distributor of Lifebreath ventilation equipment in central Canada. With insight into the future, Instaflame gas fireplaces soon followed.

We have always been proud to carry the very best in product from premier suppliers such as Vermont Castings, Osburn, Lifebreath and now Beachcomber.

Located in the west end of Winnipeg, in 1999, we opened Embers Fireplaces & More, after seeing a need for an upscale fireplace store to better serve the  new home and discerning retail customers, as well as provide an extensive showroom that our dealers could utilize for their customers.

In 2001, Vermont Castings launched their line of barbeques, winning several Consumer Guide awards for value and quality, putting us firmly into the high end bar-b-que grill business.

Our most recent expansion came in 2006, with the addition of Beachcomber Hot Tubs. A Canadian built product built to withstand the harshest climate, Beachcomber is known for their efficiency, comfort, and industry leading guarantee.
